Deckle boxes are a type of mould & deckle that have different historical traditions that relate to the papermaking methods of various regions. 

A deckle box is a tool that is made with an exaggerated deckle which locks in place. A deckle box enables the person to make a larger sheet.The large deckle box is typically a storage/travel issue with any maker. 

Our collapsible deckle box assembles easily, can make large sheets and is easy to take apart for simple storage.

The box is constructed from these materials:

Popular wood frame and oak dowel ribs are coated with a beeswax & linseed oil mix. FYI (we use our beeswax from our bees)

Bamboo screen coated with a waterproof sealant.

We include a sheet of 4 mil plastic and 2 heavyweight sheets of interfacing (Pellon).
