This vase is wood fired in a cantenary kiln to 2350 degrees. At this temperature the ash that has dusted the vessel through the firing process melts with the glaze and creates amazing flashes of color. This beautifully hand made piece becomes vitrified or glass-like. Resulting in a leak proof well constructed vase.
