Sue Elfin, an artist from northeast Indiana, came for a residency in mid-March. Her collage works stems from the profound beauty in simple elements that she collects in nature. Her collages are sparse and each piece becomes an integral part. She is inspired by haiku's - she can relate to the power they have to transport an experience with choice words. She is new to the paper field. Sue is intrigued how paper can be an element to her works.
